I would like to take this moment to graciously thank you for giving me the opportunity to intern with your research lab at SiriusMindshare LLC. This has truly been an enriching experience that I will never forget. Throughout this internship, I have learned valuable interdisciplinary applications of computer science, particularly in the fields of neuromarketing and business.

When I joined your lab in February, I had little experience in programming and data analysis. However, you encouraged me to learn by providing me with great resources from your class at Northeastern University. Throughout the summer, my Python skills have tremendously increased. As a current high school sophomore, I am now exploring the intricacies of machine learning, data science, and artificial intelligence. Moreover, I have been exposed to various libraries, including PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, Matplotlib, Keras, Numpy, and Pandas.

In regard to research, this internship has strengthened my skills as a scientific problem-solver, thinker, and communicator. From analyzing heatmaps of small business storefronts to working with AI-based neuromarketing tools, I’ve gotten to explore fields I had never encountered before. Being part of the publication process for a prestigious international conference was equally intriguing. Reviewing our paper was a rewarding experience, and I’m thankful to have been a co-author.

Going out of this internship, I plan to delve deeper into the depths of computer science. I seek to continue pursuing research independently, along with the current institution I am affiliated with. My interests now primarily lie in the intersection of artificial intelligence and healthcare for tasks such as medical imaging, object detection, and disease diagnosis.

That being said, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me if you ever need a research assistant. I am always willing to contribute, whether during the school year or next summer. If you have any potential projects or know colleagues who might be seeking help, I would be eager to get involved. Thank you once again for these past few months.
